xx Question I cant answer when looking at hinge types
« Thread started on: Dec 13th, 2011, 4:42pm »

What I want to do is make a in the wall cabinet for a flat screen TV with a two way mirror. The cabinet is like a medicine cabinet but out far enough to do a picture frame style so when the TV is off, it doubles as a picture style mirror. My problem is a hinge that I need to to be able to open without hitting the wall. I need a hinge that will allow for it to have the clearance to open but I want the frame as close to the wall so it doesn't look tacky. I have searched for hinges but cant find the right one. Any suggestions?

I was surprised. no ideas. All I can find is this Lateral Opening Door Hinge Set but it runs $173.00 an the person that wants this. doesn't like the price but I cant find anything else or a cheaper deal. Rockler is the only one that carries it.
