xx why does this keep happening
« Thread started on: Apr 20th, 2011, 02:09am »

ok Rob im having different isues this time . first is there a way to change the standards on a job file after it is complete ?? like just say you wanted to add a middle style on the upper cabs ,click on cab and change it right ,nope not mine i can change it but it will not stay there no matter how many times a save as default , apply to this job ,there has to be a way to update changes . Ive had to redraw all the cabs 3 time because of this and everytime set the standards again for the same file.now the same job im doing ,i made a different file for and redrew the whole elevation so it would generate a master door list because i had the settings on .75 for the stiles and rails when it needed to be 1.5. its only 6 cabsnot that big of a deal but im tired of drawing them over and over ,now it will not generate a good cut list for the drawer fronts on the main window only if you single it out . am i just totally missing something huh please help ,ive got another job ,5 times the size of this one next and im going to need CP to help me with the cut lit and generate good acurate door and drawer front list,i do not build them i get a company to do that so if there wrong im paying big time

and another thing thats happening is everytime i open the file it puts scribes on both sides of the cabinets no matter if i saved them or not ,I'm at the end of this venture for these cabinets im going to go back and lay out the cabs i dont trust my computer. and i get cut list that are wrong for example cabinet specs: 24 x 32.5
cp gives me
left side 23 x 32.5
right side 23 x 32.5
bottom 23 x 21 huh
strechers and screw strips 3 x 21 ?
the bottom should be 23 x 22.5 , how does the FF affect the I.D. of the cab? the box is built then the faceframe put on , it should not count the ff for deduction of demension.and the drawers are wrong as well with the width 4x 19.5
its all wrong and im done like i said if you can help great if not oh well

If you need to add a middle stile you need to delete the cabinet and create a different one. You can't turn a one opening upper into a two opening upper by adding a middle stile to it.

The only standards that can be changed all at once for a job are the ones in the general standards.

Check to see if you have entered a value for the default scribe in the general standards. By default this is set to zero.

The face frame sizes do not have an effect on the cabinet sizes but the scribe settings will.
