xx Wood Prices
« Thread started on: Apr 4th, 2010, 8:08pm »

I'm about finished with my plans but I need to know if there is a way to change the prices for the wood I am using.
I know a 4x8 sheet of cherry plywood is $85.00. Cherry hardwood is 4.89 bd ft. How can I make the calculation show these numbers.
Thanks,
Eddie

The program doesn't break down the prices for the materials.

What you can do is run the panel optimizer to see how many sheets you need for the cabinets boxes and then multiply that by $85.

Then run the master parts lists for the face frames, doors and drawer fronts to get the total board feet for each. Add them all up and multipy $4.98.

Just remember that the total board feet is the actual amount that will be used but doesn't figure for any waste. Usually you will need to add 10 to 20 percent to the board feet for this.
