xx Pricing - estimation
« Thread started on: Apr 1st, 2013, 2:16pm »

Hey guys!

I'm trying to get the Price Standards set up. I'm curious as to how much the average individual has to change the default $ amounts that are provided with the software. It seems as if the defaults are suitable to get the cabinet materials bought and maybe built but not so much on accounting for the finish process and installation.

Did y'all leave the individual parameters set where they were and just bump up the "Mark Up Percentage" value?

As far as the actual building, I have used the defaults as they are except for hinges and knobs which i bumped up a little. I wish there was a separate item for finishing and installation but there is not. I am hoping a future update with allow for that. In the meantime, I just use the markup % to cover that although it takes some time to figure those items as a percentage. I am also hoping for a future update to give us the lineal feet of cabinets. That would make it easier to assign a per foot figure both for finishing and installation.

Please go to back to the tab “General” under the tab “Cabinet Planner” scroll do to the topic “Pricing” and read the feeds. There is some important information.

Rob has listed four urls listed there they are very informative. It helped me extremely.
