xx 3d drawings, cabinets are black

I designed a kitchen and am trying to view it in 3d, no matter what color I use for the cabinets they are black in 3d. I am using windows 7.

For the 3d the color/wood grain used is set by selecting "Select 3d images" under the file menu. The color you select for the drawing colors is only applicable to the wall color.
